Are You Locked in The Bathroom With Betty White?

Filed under: My Thoughts — jodi @ 3:01 pm
betty-white.jpg
This morning I was thinking about an old “Golden Girls” episode where there
is a banquet going on with all the “roomies” attending together. At some
point, Betty White (Rose) gets upset and runs to lock herself in the
bathroom. The rest of the evening is spent with her friends sitting outside
the door, trying to talk her out. As this scene came to mind, I realized it
is a perfect way to explain why we do what we do in Meta-ET (TM).

Recently, a few people have asked me why I ever focus on negative things.
Why don’t I just talk about good things and spend all my time helping people
feel only that? Clearly, to me, this is denial. How can I look at the
world and paint a rosy picture on top of what is happening? If I do, I’m
only covering up what we are experiencing. I used to do just that! It
wasn’t working out so well. I have a different method today. Maybe this
script will explain….. (fade to black)

[ACT ONE. “Knocking From the Inside”]

{Stage left: Betty has locked herself inside the bathroom and is pacing the
floor, wringing her hands, crying. Stage right: Jodi is laughing and
enjoying herself at a party with other friends.}

(The curtain rises with music, laughter and conversation on the right.
Suddenly, there is a loud banging on bathroom door, from the inside. Jodi
rises to go see what is happening.)

JODI: “Hello? Can I help you?”

BETTY: (Sobbing uncontrollably) “I want to join you at the party.”

JODI: “Wonderful! Just open the door and come on out.”

BETTY: (Furiously twisting the door knob and pounding on the door) “I
can’t!”

JODI: “I think maybe the door is locked. Can you unlock it?”

BETTY: “I’m afraid. I don’t know how.”

JODI: “What are you afraid of?”

BETTY: “I don’t know. (Shyly….) Those people out there.”

JODI: “What do you think they are going to do?”

BETTY: “They won’t like me. They will judge me and say I’m stupid.”

JODI: “Well, I wonder what makes you think that?”

BETTY: “That’s what always happens. I mess up and say something stupid and
they all laugh at me. That’s why I’m hiding in here. I’m scared to come
out again.”

JODI: “Maybe there is a reason this always happens. Perhaps we can change
it. Will you let me help you understand?”

BETTY: “I would rather you just open the door for me. Can’t you just send
someone else to rescue me?”

JODI: “Well, no…the problem is not on my side here. The door is locked
where you are. Only you can open it and come out. I can explain to you how
it works and talk you through it, but you will have to do the actual
unlocking yourself. Can I ask you a question?”

BETTY: (calming down a bit now) “I guess so.”

JODI: “I can see that when people call you stupid it hurts your
feelings…you get very upset. Did anything like this ever happen when you
were a little girl?”

BETTY: “Yes…my sister always made fun of me and told me I was stupid.
She and her friends would laugh at me until I cried. I was so humiliated!”

JODI: “Maybe that little girl within is still humiliated. I think we owe
her an apology. Can you tell her I’m so sorry she feels this way?”

BETTY: “She doesn’t believe you.”

JODI: “I understand, but I want her to know I do care. Will she let me
show her why this is happening over and over?”

BETTY: “Yes. That would be nice. I don’t want this to keep happening.”

JODI: “The little girl needs to understand the problem is really not with
the outside world. It is the beliefs she has. These are in your
subconscious mind and were accepted because people told the little girl
things when she was in a brain wave state where she could not argue with
what they said. There is no need to blame anyone–everyone was doing the
same thing–operating from childhood programs–even your sister who was
saying mean things. The little girl inside you needs to stop agreeing with
what they told her and start believing in herself again. If we could help
her to stop judging herself, no one would tell her she was stupid. If she
can stop being afraid of being judged, she will unlock the door that is
blocking her happiness. If we can convince her to let go of her fear of
being judged, you will be free to open the door and join the party.”

BETTY: “Are you saying that if I go back to my childhood and do something
about what happened THEN, I will not have to keep experiencing it NOW?”

JODI: “Yes, that is what I’ve experienced. Can I show you how?”

BETTY: “I’m willing to give it a try!”

(Both women sit on the floor, separated by the door, working together to
clear the negative programs that have not allowed Betty join the party.
Fade to black…curtain falls.)

In Act Two, of course Betty would learn how to use Meta-ET (TM) to remove
the non-serving beliefs/blocked energy from her subconscious mind. After
the humiliation was removed, she would then be reprogrammed with wonderful
new beliefs about how loving oneself is the key to opening the door. Full of
confidence and joy, she would rise up, unlock the door and glide into the
room where she is lovingly accepted and appreciated. Never again would she
be afraid to be who she is. The world around her would respond to this new
vibration by showering her with acceptance. No one would call her stupid
any more. You see…the problem was never “them,” it was her own
self-judgment. The little girl locked in her heart was still believing she
is stupid…and the world around her was providing evidence it was true
because people kept saying that to her. She had to learn they were only
saying that because she agreed with it. Once she learned to love herself
as she is….so did “they”…and now she could unlock the door and feel
freedom for the first time. It had to be done by herself. After all, they
can only reflect back to her what she feels about herself.

This is why we work with negatives in Meta-ET (TM). If we stand outside the
door telling the person locked within to just come on out, everything is
wonderful, they won’t believe us. They will be frustrated with our
inability to see things as they do. We are asking them to deny what they
feel…what they are experiencing. Can they? And so when you ask me,
“Should we be pointing out the outer world problems?” I answer,
“Absolutely! That is what is standing in the way of connection with God’s
good!” We cannot heal what we can’t see. We understand that we could have
just unlocked the door or told her how to open it and allowed Betty to come
to the party, but in doing only that, the same thing would happen again at a
later time. It is much like the story of providing fish to the village or
teaching the villagers how to fish for themselves. We choose the latter.

We don’t look for quick fixes in Meta-ET (TM). We strive for empowerment
and transformation. We realize that only in seeing what is wrong can we
make it right. Thus, we never avoid confrontation….we meet it head on.
You see, the ego self loves it when we don’t confront it. It runs and hides
for a while, but knows it can return. Only when we call it out, front and
center, can we shine the Light of The Presence in that space. By removing
the power of negative programs, we ALLOW the positive to take effect.
Ultimately, in the final stretch to empowerment, we will ask you to take
that final step. Realize that the easiest way to travel through life is to
allow God to guide you. If you follow in the wake of the One awake, you
cannot get it wrong. Alas…we also understand you won’t likely do this
until you’ve empowered yourSelf, first.

I trust this little story helps to clarify why I do not ONLY work with
positive. I now understand that positive beliefs will not be accepted when
negative programs stand in the way. We must remove that which doesn’t serve
us. How? By looking at the negative people, places, experiences, and
events all around us.

You can run…but you can’t hide. The one you are hiding from is locked in
the bathroom with you and Betty White.

A Nation Unplugged and Disconnected

Filed under: My Thoughts — jodi @ 10:38 am

closeup-031.jpg

People often ask me about my political beliefs. Am I Democrat or
Republican? I answer this below, but please know this is merely MY truth
and may not be yours. I am only offering, in honesty, what it is I see.
Your experience may be different. And, as an eternal optimist…I fully
expect everything will ultimately turn out for the highest and best good of
all.

The truth is…I let go of all politics some time ago. Let me explain.

As this country has “progressed,” what I’ve been witnessing is the greatest
ploy of ego consciousness in action. The plan has always been to divide and
conquer, and quite frankly, it is working at this point. Since the time
our nation’s Civil War erupted, I do not believe we have ever experienced a
country so strongly divided against one another. Regardless of which “side”
it is…the game plan is to destroy the opponent. This is true for both of
our frontrunner political parties…Republicans and Democrats. If you can
be honest in this and accept what is, you will have to admit they do exactly
the same thing. You couldn’t pay me a billion dollars to be in
politics–especially the president–at this time in our human history! As
soon as someone is elected, the 50% opposition goes on attack to disrupt,
demolish and dismantle the one/ones elected. Because the primary focus is
to find what is wrong with the other, there is little if any time to do what
is right. Everyone is immediately flung into self-defense mode, and the
battle begins. We’ve witnessed the enormous stress our elected officials
are under, these days, because it shows up as an accelerated aging process
in the body. Politicians are thrown into the arms of the ego, and left
there to find a way to survive. Many don’t. Many are consumed by the power
and corruption–eaten alive, spat out and thrown away as the garbage of the
gluttonous consumption of an overfed, overweight and imbalanced ego.

What happened to us? Why is it no longer acceptable to have an opposing
idea? The movement has trended towards “either you are with us or against
us.” As soon as one person disagrees with the other, the egos go
head-to-head to prove “I’m right and you’re wrong!” When I do speaking
engagements, and in private sessions, I lovingly offer that there truly is
no such thing. In a world of infinite possibilities, these choices aren’t
right or wrong–they are merely different. We were born into a world of
equal and opposite possibilities, and there will never, ever be a single
answer to anything. If we are going to move forward as “one nation, under
God,” then we are going to have to go back to the basic principle of the
Golden Rule. I suggest we go one step further. Rather than merely treat the
other as you would want to be treated, respond as if you were God, Itself.

I ask my clients to follow one basic rule when confronted with challenge or
opposition. Pause, do not immediately react. Tap on any negative triggers
that arose when someone lashed out at you. Do this until the ego within you
gets quiet. Now, respond–don’t react–as if you were God. If this simple
practice is followed, you will not react from the primitive fight or flight
mindset of the ego. Instead, you will speak as the Divine Being you truly
are. In doing so…the ego in the other also quiets and comes to not only
respect your ability to remain calm, but it also grows to love you.

When I look at the faces of those running for office, I see two choices
looking back at me. Within each of them there is an ego self which clings
to the singularity of its way as the only way, and then, there is a Divine
Being that longs to serve others and the country. Within all things,
including people, there are dual expressions in this physical realm.
Politicians enter office with the belief they will get it right…forgetting
that will mean acceptance of opposing beliefs. Sadly, though, as soon as
these people arrive in Washington, the option whittles down to conformity.
In order to succeed at politics, a decision must immediately be made. Do I
want to be re-elected or not? If the choice is to be re-elected (and the
pressure to do so will be enormous through the party represented), then all
bets are off. Suddenly, non-serving choices are selected, and the spirit
that once drove that person to follow this passion soon wanes in favor of
winning.

Our founding fathers were not saints. They, too, had egos within. However,
the basic idea behind democracy is a good one–coming partially from the
Native American animists who practiced unification. This country was
originally “by the people, for the people.” But “the people” became
politics. We have let go of the idea of popular vote which immediately gave
way to corruption. The time is quickly approaching for “the people” to step
forward to reclaim the country that has strayed from its roots. But if this
is going to work…it must not be done at the expense of the other, but with
acceptance of each other. Speaking with many of my clients who practice in
the Baha’i faith, I have been privy to a wonderful demonstration of just how
this can be done. Perhaps we could all get quiet just long enough to hear
what they have to share on this? They just may have a better way.

So, what do I see as the solution? Beginning in the 1980s, I have been
watching our political situation deteriorate to a place where I’m not so
sure it will survive much longer. Just as the ego hoped…the divide
widened to the point of breaking. As the pressure beneath builds, we are
postured for an explosion. If that is what must happen to wake us up and
call us back to acting like the Divine Beings we were designed to be, then
so be it. I’ve withdrawn into the realm of Observer, where I am no longer
choosing sides. I believe the fall is near and is necessary. Often,
metamorphosis appears ominous and death-like, but I realize it is merely a
transformational process to move us into something better. Once we emerge
from what appears to be the death-chamber of a cocoon, we will finally
understand. From the caterpillar eyes focused on nothing but what was right
in front of us to the broader perspective of light-winged freedom, we will
emerge as beautiful creatures who see things from a much higher place. From
above, we will see our connection…our oneness. We will reclaim a world
that operates, “by the people, for the people.”

I ask everyone to look into your personal lives to see where you are still
practicing these “divide and conquer” ideas. If we cannot find ways to
accept and love those who oppose our personal beliefs in our own lives, how
will we ever do this on a national or international level? The ego is
wreaking havoc on our world as we react with fight or flight emotions. There
is another way. First and foremost, we must be practicing acceptance of ALL
That Is in our own lives. Reach out to those who are different than
yourself. Listen to what they say. See if there is common ground. If you
cannot come to agreement, at least respect that each of you came to be where
you are due to the past programming of your childhood. There is no right.
There is no wrong. You are merely different. Would you really want it any
other way? Didn’t we come into physical expression to experience contrast?
We still have time to choose to respond rather than react.

Maybe then, we will return to BEing “ONE nation, under God.” It would be so
magnificent if we, as human beings, could wake up and understand all this is
happening because we are lost in the realm of separation and ego
consciousness–and that we are playing this out to its great satisfaction.
But, if not…I surrender this unto my Creator’s hands and humbly allow,
“Not my will, but Thine, be done.”

Dis-Ease Begins as a Thought

Filed under: My Thoughts — jodi @ 6:16 pm

sick.jpg

One of my dear distant healing friends shared with us a link which included
a story of a woman who went through a NDE (near death experience) after
being diagnosed with terminal cancer. You can read the entire post at
http://www.nderf.org/anita_m’s_nde.htm. However, there was one particular
paragraph that caught my attention. She is explaining what happened as she
was making the choice of whether to return to live in this world or to allow
her body to die. She writes:

<<I was shown how illnesses start on an energetic level before they become
physical. If I chose to go into life, the cancer would be gone from my
energy, and my physical body would catch up very quickly. I then understood
that when people have medical treatments for illnesses, it rids the illness
only from their body but not from their energy so the illness returns. I
realized if I went back, it would be with a very healthy energy. Then the
physical body would catch up to the energetic conditions very quickly and
permanently. I was given the understanding that this applies to anything,
not only illnesses – physical conditions, psychological conditions, etc. I
was “shown” that everything going on in our lives was dependent on this
energy around us, created by us. Nothing was solid – we created our
surroundings, our conditions, etc. depending where this “energy” was at.
The clarity I received around how we get what we do was phenomenal! It’s
all about where we are energetically. I was made to feel that I was going
to see “proof” of this first hand if I returned back to my body. >>

In Meta-ET (TM), we teach this idea, as well. We have seen incredible
healings occur in the physical realm in response to a session where blocks
were removed–beliefs were changed. Once the energy flows, uninterrupted,
everything changes.

Energy (aka “the outer world”) is fashioned after our beliefs–thoughts
become things. However, most of our beliefs are unknown to the conscious
mind, because we don’t pay attention to how we are feeling throughout the day,
so the vast majority of the population walks around with enormous
amounts of non-serving beliefs which are reflecting in the world around
them…and in their own bodies. It is only when one becomes aware that the
physical experience can be controlled that changes are made to what we
call reality. So long as we continue to believe things happen in the world
and THEN we experience emotions, we are powerless victims of what seem to be
random events. We have this backwards! The world around us, including our
bodies, is the RESULT of our beliefs/feelings…not the cause.

I need to add here…thoughts/words are not really all that powerful.  Your
feelings are 100 times more powerful…so I encourage you to work with
feelings, not just words.  Some people worry that when they say something
negative, it can then manifest into reality; however, there is not much energy
around thinking.  It needs an accompanying FEELING to manifest it!  But much of
what we think and feel are completely out of sync.  We think or say one thing,
but feel another.  If this is the case for you, I will tell you now…your FEELINGS win!

I do not know the woman in this story–Anita. However, based on what I’ve
learned in working with clients who have cancer, I would guess she was once
a person who held things in…tried to control her emotions. These are the
people who usually get cancer. On the outside they may appear to be
handling life’s challenges, but inside, they are eaten alive with
unexpressed negative emotions. Energy is meant to be “in motion,” and when
negative energy is self-contained, it destroys the body that harbors it.

In this century, I believe energy therapy will become the leading way to
manage our lives. Now that we have come to understand more and more about
how perceptions/beliefs create reality, we must begin to teach others how to
change what isn’t working into what does work. This will mean changing
beliefs. It will have to be done in the subconscious mind, which will
require a system that uses that technique, and it will need to traced back
to the earliest point of origin in order to be most effective. Meta-ET (TM)
combines all these techniques into one system and adds the bonus of also
providing the client with the experience of stepping outside the body and
into Pure Consciousness. From that perspective, they…just like
Anita…have the experience of seeing life from a more expanded awareness.

If it feels like life is out to get you, please pause long enough to realize
that is an illusion. You are merely harboring dis-eased beliefs. You are
not powerless. You are a mighty BEing who has the ability to change what
you don’t like. If you change your energy, your world/your body will
quickly respond. If you cannot “see” where your beliefs have gone astray,
get in touch with a Meta-ET (TM) practitioner. They are trained to follow
your story back to the source cause. They will travel in the subconscious
mind and locate the source point. They will remove the beliefs that are
causing disruptions and reprogram the mind with beautiful, empowering
thoughts. Please do not try to change your experience by adjusting the
outer world. It will be a temporary fix at best. Change the inner belief
which is calling energy into form as represented by the world around you and
by the body that provides your consciousness transportation. Change the
belief…which changes the energy…which changes its physical expression we
call the world.

How? Surely you already know what my answer will be, right? Start tapping
now!
